Ghuffran’s Biography

Ghuffran Ali is a Chicago based comedian. He was born in Lahore Pakistan, and spent the earliest years of his life there. After moving to Cincinnati, Oh at age six. He soon realized he was not the stereotypical Pakistani child. He was not good at math, did not dream of becoming a doctor or engineer, but instead tried to avoid school as much as possible. After barely passing high school he proceeded to attend the University of Cincinnati for a couple of years. U.C was dull and comfortable, so on a whim he moved to Chicago,IL without direction or money. Although he has no money, He is fast becoming one of Chicago’s funniest young comics, he has shared the stage with headliners like Ian Bagg, Kevin Shea, Michael Palascak, Doug Benson, Steve Byrne and Kevin Camia, just to name a few. Ghuffran recently performed at the 2008 North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. In addition to performing, he has begun writing sketches, and is featured as the lead in a documentary being produced for festival submission in Chicago, IL.
